Shirlene Gilman, 70, lost her home in Journey’s End mobile home park when the Tubb's fire breached the Santa Rosa city limits on October, 9, 2017. Gilman, like many other of the former residents of Journey’s End, faces many problems with her mental health due to the trauma caused by the fire.

Elisha Nelson, 37, is a congenital arm amputee, meaning she was born without an arm-- she is also an A2 Adaptive water skier on the USA Adaptive Waterski team and will compete in the 17th Adaptive Water Ski World Championships in Norway in July 2019.

At the California Health Facility prison in Vacaville, Calif., inmates participate in SAR (Self-Awareness and Recovery), a program that focuses on personal mental awareness and re-assimilation.
