‘It’s to follow my dream.’

Elisha Nelson, 37, is an A2 Adaptive water skier on the USA Adaptive Waterski team and will compete in the 17th Adaptive Water Ski World Championships in Norway later in July. Nelson is a congenital arm amputee, meaning she was born without an arm. "Adaptive is called adaptive because every skier does it completely different," Nelson said. "I'm missing my arm and I have two other teammates that are guys that are also missing arms in different levels and some of the skiers are even missing a leg so we all have to adapt and ski differently to make it work for us."
